It was the second half defensive display from our 1st XV that was the deciding factor of the final score on Saturday afternoon when Vardre visited Fairwood Lane. The first half saw the visitors dominating the set pieces with conditions not allowing any free-flowing play on a damp & miserable day. The first points of the game coming just two minutes before the half time whistle with a great interception by scrum half Rhydian Luckwell who gratefully galloped to the visitors try line.
