News update from Fairwood Lane

The time we have all been waiting for is nearly upon us with the return to trading albeit outside only at present. We will be opening from 2.00pm on Saturday the 1st of May.

The current restrictions mean we have limited capacity with up to six people allowed to share a table, everyone must be seated.  We therefore must repay the loyalty of our paid-up members and operate on a strictly members only basis.

Our fabulous bar team will be on hand to provide you with your tipple of choice however as our card machine does not work on the terrace we can only accept cash payments.

Things to be aware of, we will need to complete the trace & track documentation of your visit which will be destroyed after 21 days. Please remember to bring a mask as you won’t be able to access the club to use the toilets without one.   To keep everyone safe please use the hand sanitation stations regularly and always keep a 2-metre distance. Also, as we can’t rely on the Welsh weather remember to bring warm clothing or even a blanket.

To welcome everyone back there will be a complimentary BBQ staffed by our chefs for the day Cam Low and Carl Roberts.

Other news:

Unfortunately, we find ourselves once more having to postpone our Centenary Dinner but fear not we have a new date of Saturday the 14th of May 2022.  Centenary plus 2 celebration!  We are however delighted to announce the format will be as previously organised and give big thanks to our chosen venue Fulton House, the one and only Mr Phillip Steele and the DB Big Band for confirming their availability for the new date.  Tickets for 2022 will soon be available. Tickets already purchased for the original date indicate that the evening will be a sell out and has all the hallmarks of being a fantastic evening not to be missed.  More details to follow.

Update on young Patricia.  She is still in the land of her birth where she continues to make small steps to recovery following her eye surgery.  She has another two operations planned one next week and another at the end of May.  We send our love and best wishes to Pat & Carolyn who has been looking after her Mum. Speedy recovery Pat.
