Youthful 1st XV narrow lose out to Cwmllynfell

With an ever growing injury list the 1st XV had an extremely youthful look to it on Saturday.  The statistic that we have already seen 51 players represent the 1st XV is testimony to this unprecedented position.  This squad is however doing the club proud and digging deep despite narrowly losing to our visitors Cwmllynfell by 12-14 the defence performance was impressive.  The points scorers from the Uplands were a try a piece from second row Ioan Verhoevan and centre Alex Withers with scrum half Rhydian Luckwell adding a conversion. It's always a good day when our friends from Cwmllynfell RFC visit who added to a great atmosphere and we look forward to visiting them at Pen-Y-Bryn.  Pictured is the ND John Man of the Match wing Rhodri Irvine being presented with his bottle of fizz by senior team manager Ashley Jenkins.  Next Saturday we make the trip to Taibach all support will be much appreciated.
