1st XV gain a losing bonus point whilst Youth have an emphatic win

The 1st XV lost suffered their second league loss of the season at Nantyffyllon. The home side were first to strike early on with a converted try but a Peter Anson penalty coming shortly after brought the score to 7-3.  However the gap was to be increased 4 minutes later with another converted try for Nanty, 14-3.  The boys dug deep, and the pressure soon paid off with a try from scrum half Rhydian Luckwell duly converted by Peter Anson.  Another Peter Anson penalty brought the score to 14-13.  An exchange of penalties brought the half time score to 17-16.

The boys started strongly in the second half, but it was Nanty who scored first with a break away try followed by another converted try making the score 31-16.  To their credit the boys didn’t let their heads go down & struck back with a try from centre Alex Margetts duly converted by Mr Anson. Another penalty by Peter Anson brought the final score to 31-26.  A losing bonus point on the road but a disappointing result given the previous weeks performance.

The Youth travelled to Cwmgors but actually played Bryngors.  After a strong performance the boys came away with an emphatic win with a score of 13-42 on the final whistle.
