It is with deep sadness we have to inform you that Chris Fletcher passed away unexpectedly yesterday evening at home with Steve at his side.

Chris, a former 1st team captain has been a loyal member and supporter at Fairwood Lane since the 70's.  After his playing days Chris's dedication off the pitch epitomised the term great clubman. He and his late wife Jackie were regular supporters on the touchline barely missing a match to support the boys in green & white.  Of course this support extended to the bar after for the post- match analysis along with any social events that were held.  When Jackie suffered ill health Chris would assist her to games and social events, his care & compassion there for all to see as he tended to her needs.

A committee man who threw himself in to any tasks from grass cutting, pitch marking to collecting the gate money on game day.  He just quietly went about these tasks without question if it was for the club Chris was your man. You will be sorely missed by us all at Fairwood Lane Chris, you have left a huge void in the Uplands Family
