The 1st XV travelled to Resolven on Saturday knowing that they would have to work hard to come away with a win let alone a bonus point. And that proved to be the case. All was going well in the first half with three tries in 20 minutes from Keiran Morris, Rhydian Luckwell & Caleb Hannen-Davies all duly converted by the ever-reliable Pete Anson.
However, Resolven then turned on the pressure gaining a converted try before half time. The only points in the second half were in favour of the home side with a penalty kick. On the plus size our defensive effort in the second half was outstanding but there was disappointment we didn’t secure the bonus point after an excellent start. The final score was 10-21. On to next Saturday where we welcome table toppers Aberavon Green Stars, a big home attendance would be very much appreciated to be that extra sixteenth man.
The Youth visited South Gower which ended in a home win 18 points to 10. Saturday we are awaiting confirmation of a possible 1.00pm kick off at home to Nantyffyllon
