News from Fairwood Lane

What a game that was yesterday.  Disappointment yes but the future is certainly bright and of course with the Championship still achievable with the whole of Wales cheering on the Scots on Friday evening.

News from Fairwood.

Unfortunately our gastro gourmet chef young Patricia has taken a tumble whilst staying with her daughter Carolyn in Scotland during lockdown.  She's feeling the aftereffects and unfortunately although not in hospital can't come home until she has an operation relieve an eye injury which may or may not be as a result of the fall.  We send our love and best wishes to Pat and look forward to her returning to us as things just wouldn't be the same without her when we reopen.  A true Swansea Uplands character full of fun and of course love for all her boys.

Going forward there's no definitive date as yet for us to reopen although the good news is that Junior Rugby is starting back from the 27th of March.  The coaches will contact their players to let them know the arrangements for each team.

We also have a new set of posts for the bottom pitch.  A big thank you to Cam Low and Luke Jenkins for single handedly installing them in readiness for rugby in whatever format that takes.

There are a few jobs needing to be done before we reopen to spruce the place up a bit so if anyone fancies offering their services for plumbing, carpentry, or general ground and outside maintenance when restrictions allow please let us know.

In the meantime, stay safe hopefully see you soon.
