It is with extreme sadness that we have to announce the passing of a friend and supporter of the club Jo Evans. Jo passed peacefully away yesterday in the early hours with her family by her side after a courageous 16-month battle with cancer.
Jo's son Elliott represented the club at all age grades and despite Elliott hanging up his boots Jo and husband Richard would often be seen on the touchline cheering on the boys in green and supporting club events. Jo was also one proud Mum to daughters Ria and Kate, Kate being a member of our bar team. Our thoughts and prays go out to Jo's family along with mum Jackie and dad Brian Williamson
Jo was one of life's beautiful people inside and out and was a great friend to many of us at SURFC. A petite lady with a big heart and strength second to none. Right to the end she did it her way.
