SURFC are delighted to announce the following coaching and management appointments have been made in this our Centenary season:

1st XV

Head Coach: Malcolm Jones, Backs Coaches: Mark Rippon & Lewis Eynon, Assistant Coach: Tim Edmunds.  Senior Team Manager; Ashley Jenkins.

1st XV Captain: Tom Edmunds, Vice Captain: Michael Evans

We also welcome Wayne Jervis back into the SURFC coaching team.  Wayne volunteered his services to our renamed SURFs (Swansea Uplands Rugby Football Seconds). With his rugby knowledge and experience we are confident the SURFs will develop and progress to become a success in Swansea & District second team rugby.  In the coming weeks Wayne will be looking to appoint a suitable candidate to work alongside him and captain the squad.

Training for the seniors will commence on Tuesday July 9th   at 6: 45pm and every Thursday and Tuesday thereafter at Upper Killay Community pitches.  Existing & new players very welcome along with last years third year youth making the step up to senior rugby.

News from our talented Youth Squad is that we are extremely pleased to inform you that Mr Paul Coode has been appointed as Head Coach and that he will be assisted by Chris Lewis as Team Manager.  Further additions to the coaching team and captain will be made soon.

Together with our other two senior teams The Vikings who last season had great success in the inclusive leagues and The Swansea Gladiators our mixed ability team who like The Vikings made end of season appearances at The Principality Stadium, there couldn't be a better year to be involved at Fairwood Lane.

Further details & news for this year of celebration will be published in the coming weeks.

In the meantime many congratulations to all in this extremely exciting year let's make sure we are fully behind the players & coaches with our support in this centenary season.
