A game of 2 halves for 1st XV to secure the win

It certainly was a game a two halves for our 1st XV as a powerful second half performance saw us coming away 11 -21 victors against Aberavon Green Stars.  The half time whistle saw us trailing 11 - 0 however the team in green & white came out in the second half with a totally different mind set.  Tries from Captain Tom Edmunds, centre Alex Withers & flanker Sam Winrow and three conversions from the boot of Dan Bennett secured the win.  There were some great individual performances including the boys from our Youth contingent.  Dan Bennett looked very comfortable orchestrating at 10 in his debut appearance.   Josh Mapstone at loose head and Liam Miles in the second row both looked impressive and put in big shifts.  Next up Bryncoch at home.

The Youth side also had a successful afternoon after a solid performance they came away 20-17 winners against a tough Briton Ferry side.  The squad remains unbeaten and top the table of the Ospreys Cup League A.  A busy run in of 5 outstanding games awaits the boys
